Biography
Since 2009, Ryan Mitchell has been practicing law in Central Florida concentrating his practice in civil litigation, including complex business matters, contract and property disputes, and family law.
Whether in court, at arbitration or in mediation, Ryan has successfully represented clients in hundreds of civil cases, including sale of goods cases (both domestic and international), contract actions, trade secret cases, non-competition and non-disclosure matters, property law disputes, shareholder rights cases, and fraud.
Throughout his practice, Ryan has represented clients in various family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, paternity proceedings, and modifications cases. Ryan has considerable experience in dissolution cases involving complex assets, including executive compensation packages and privately held companies.
As a graduate of the Joint Degree Program offered by the Universities of Detroit Mercy School of Law and University of Windsor, Ryan has his American Juris Doctor and Canadian Bachelor of Laws degrees. He is a licensed attorney in both Florida and Ontario, Canada. He was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2008 after completing his Articles (10-month internship at Koskie Minsky in Toronto), and the Florida State Bar in 2009. He has also been admitted to the Middle District Court in Florida where he has handled complex federal litigation and bankruptcy cases. After moving to Florida, Ryan opened his own practice and started a family with his wife, Amy. Now a father of three, Ryan currently works at The Law Office of Ryan Mitchell, PLLC, serving clients throughout Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Lake, Polk, Volusia, and Flagler counties focusing his practice on business law, personal injury, and family law matters.
